Users Module

Description

The User Management Module defines actions to add, edit and remove users from system based on existing user sets. By default, the system user set provides access to all users in the system user folder. You can create your own user sets by defining specifying their owner (like categories, courses or groups). Additionally, you can define user sets by using local or global roles and by using your own search terms or using an XML file. All actions of this module described in the feature list correspond to a specific user set.

Since the this module is an extension of the Import Module all those features are accessible in this module as well. Here we only list those feature which are additional.

User Actions

Add User in system or category folder (only available if User Details Module is present)
Identifying duplicates by specifying a primary key (searching in database or user defined user set)
Remove User from system
Create dummy users
Change Preferences for all users (i.e. timezone, hits per page, skin/style, etc.)
Drag & Drop of all users via panel drag
Send serial mails (only available if Communication Modul is present)
Open mail application (only available if Communication Modul is present)
Extract local user folders from selected users
Extract roles from selected users
Synchronize view of role assignment: who is assigned to a role and which roles have been assigned to a specific user
Merge users of different roles to a unique set
Transfer roles between users (adopt permissions)
